I have always been in love with renowned American photographer Annie Leibovitz’s work, and there is no doubt she is one of the most talented photographers of our time.
The exhibition features Annie’s handpicked early years works alongside some iconic fashion images, a very interesting combination (probably my favourite as well)! The exhibition really deepens my understanding of her work, especially the transition from her early years as photographer till present, I love her intimate photographic style all along and looking at the evolution and how she takes on different styles of photography but still making it her own. The merge of photojournalism and humanism edge give a very rich context and add a lot of layers to the image.
It’s almost impossible for me to pick a favourite out of all of her works, some of my favourite featured below
John Lennon and Yoko Ono, New York City, 1980
Kibbutz Amir, Israel, 1968
Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, New York City, 1994
Alexander McQueen’s final collection, Brooklyn, 2010
Rihanna, Havana, Cuba, 2015
Mikhail Baryshnikov and Rob Besserer, Georgia, 1990
